- You are expected to have your own controller that you carry with you for the duration of the tournament.
- Any controller problems that arise are the responsibility of the individual, however there might be an extra controller or two available to lend from a TO.
- Controller malfunction or other issues could ultimately result in forfeiting the tournament.
- Please ensure that controller’s battery is fully charged for each event day.
Format:
- All Players will be seeded into groups of 4 and put into a single elimination bracket
- Players will advance by winning their pool. Additionally, out of the players who did not win their pool, the players with the top 4 total times (4 races worth of time) will advance together in a single group
- If number of registrants or active players necessitates, groups of 3 or 2 may be made.
- Once final 4 players is determined, matches will be reduced to 1v1
Set Length:
- All matches will be composed of sets of four tracks. Each round of the tournament will have a single set of four tracks to allow comparison of times.
- Final Matches for the final four players will be a set of six tracks, as agreed upon by the players, each adding 3 tracks.
Set Procedure: All Matches/Sets will follow this procedure:
- Players Select their characters, karts, and driving options.
- Players will have 99 seconds to select their characters, karts, kart pieces, and driving options at the same time. Driving options are defined as options with Auto Accelleration, Motion Steering, and Smart Steering. Characters, karts, kart pieces, and driving options are locked in after confirmation and MAY NOT be changed during the set.
- A set of four tracks is selected:
- TO’s will have a selected group of four tracks selected for each round of the tournament. Each group will play the same four tracks to allow for tracking of total time for non-winning players.

This request must be made BEFORE the match starts. For example, one may request a player to be Red Yoshi to distinguish from another player playing as Blue Yoshi to prevent confusion.
- In the case of a color change dispute, a TO will be called over to arbitrate the dispute
Pausing:
- Pausing is not allowed, except to summon a TO or in the case of a controller malfunction.
- Pauses of this type can result in a restart of the current race or track, determined by the TO

- If a pause occurs, a TO MUST be called during the pause to issue a resume countdown.
- This rule also applies to controllers which cause the game to revert to the Switch home screen
Restarts:
- The TOs may approve a track restart due to exceptional circumstances, such as a power outage or controller failure.
Stalling:
- Stalling, or excessively delaying the Game or Match, may result in a Game or Match forfeit at the sole discretion of TOs.
Coaching:
